ALFA- RADIOMETER "RKS-01AM-SOLO"

The radiometer-dosimeter "RKS-01AM-SOLO" is designed to survey for alpha-particles surface contamination of analytical filters, smears and other objects by alpha- particles fluxes.

The instrument is entered into the RK State Register as No. KZ.02.02.00335-2004

PECULIARITIES:

advanced noise immunity;

in the event of a power failure internal battery connects automatically, and process of measurement continues without interruption;

presence of the sound signal at the ending of measurement;

small sizes and lightweight, simplicity in use;

PC-link using standard communication interface for data transmission.

Basic characteristics:

This block is equipped by the scintillation detector with 20 cm2 area

The range of alpha-particles flux density measurements is, part./min·cm2, from 0.1 to 105

The energy range is, MeV, from 1 to 8

The limit of a permissible basic relative error in measurements is: ±20%

The operation range of temperatures is, oC, from - 30 to + 50

The overall sizes of the detector, mm 200×250×90

The device weight, kg, does not exceed 1.0

Power supply is

an internal lithium-ion battery, with a voltage of 7,2 V or through a mains adapter

Software (developed for Windows) is entered into the set of delivery and supplied on a magnetic FD or CD-carrier.

The device provides for a mode of automatic measurement and three modes of manual measurement:

Arbitrary time of measurement is determined by the operator with the help of pressing of button "STOP";

Time of measurement is preliminary established by the operator and it is taken into account automatically;

Time of measurement depends on required quantity of registered impulses from alpha-particles.
